Smiley Piercing c:

Smiley Piercing.
This weekend was great, but I also made quite a stupid decision and pierced myself after a party. I would NEVER recommend DIY (do it yourself) piercings, as there are so many risks when it comes to piercing yourself. You need to sterilize everything, to make sure it's clean, you have to know what you're doing, what the risks are, and what to do to keep it clean throughout the healing process. The 'smiley' piercing is called the smiley for one obvious reason.. you see the piercing when you smile. The 'smiley' is the web of skin on the top of the inside of your mouth, called the Frenulum. You have to know what you're doing, even though it's a really thin bit of skin, it's quite dangerous due to there being a vein at the back of your Frenulum, and if you pierce through it, it won't be fatal, but it won't be a very nice experience either. The Frenulum is a part of the gum, which supports your gums and your top lip, holding them both together and acting as a source of support.

But, Despite me doing it myself, whilst drunk, I still managed to pierce it in the right place, without going through my vein, and I pierced it straight, using a sterilized needle and jewelry. I had no idea what I was doing, and only did the research about the piercing afterwards. The most common question about the piercing is, ''Does it hurt?'' Well, it depends, everyone has a different pain tolerance, so it would hurt for some people, and next to no pain for others. For me, It took me about 3 hours in order to pierce it, as I wasn't exactly sober and I was trying to pierce it in the wrong place. I took a break for about half an hour, because my frenulum started to hurt, and then went back to it, and I positioned the needle exactly in the middle of the frenulum, and forced it through quickly, making sure the needle went through straight, because obviously nobody wants a wonky piercing.. I then put the jewelry on the end of the needle, and pushed it through. I went Town the next morning and bought a bar, and then sterilized it and put it in afterwards when I got back, as the jewelry I used when I pierced it wasn't comfortable, and was causing discomfort when I spoke or ate. For me, the second time round it didn't hurt, but you do get a very sharp pinch, which you would expect with any piercing.

- Risks -
- If you get a horseshoe for your smiley, it can rub against your teeth when you speak, and it can eventually cause your enamel to slowly wear away, so be careful. I would advice to wear a bar, as it prevents this, but nobody would see it, so it's up to you.

- DO NOT pierce it yourself, I would strongly advice you to go to a professional, as it would be safe, and you would be sure that it is being done properly, if you don't know what you're doing, you could pierce the wrong place, and go into a vein, or even pierce it wonky and have to take it out.

- If you do not clean the piercing throughout the healing process, it WILL get infected. Yeah, it takes a lot of time, as you have to do it every time you eat, but i'm pretty sure you don't want an infected oral piercing and have a swollen mouth.

Advice/tips.
- Clean your smiley piercing at least 3 times a day.
- Clean your piercing after every meal, but be careful to not over clean it, as you could irritate the piercing and cause it to reject.
*Cleaning methods*
EITHER: Boil some hot water and put salt water in it, let it cool down and then swirl it round your mouth, making sure you are getting it near the piercing, giving it chance to clean all the bacteria out of the piercing. You use SALT water only because salt water dissolves. If you use normal salt, the salt will fall to the bottom of the salt water, and when you swirl it round your mouth to clean it, the salt will get stuck in your piercing and get it infected. Make sure it's salt water.

OR: Clean your teeth after EVERY meal throughout the day, and swirl/gargle mouthwash afterwards. If you're getting it done professionally, they will tell you all of this and answer all the questions you have, don't just go off what it says on other websites, they're not always fully accurate.

Overall, I really like my smiley piercing, It's a cute piercing to have and i'm lucky to have done it correctly, but if you're doing it yourself, make sure you know what you're doing, because if you go wrong, you'll regret it. I really hope this helps if you're looking to get your smiley pierced.<3

Laval liquid eye liner.

After recently running out of all my liquid eyeliners, I decided to try this, because I wanted a little bit of change. I wasn't really happy with my previous eye liner as the brush at the end was quite thick, and I couldn't get a decent flick at the end of my eye with it, so I wasn't really liking it. I like to have a flick at the side of my eye, and with my current eye liner I couldn't really achieve that. soo, I tried this.

I honestly couldn't believe how amazing this eye liner is, I was liking this eye liner within seconds of using it. Laval liquid eye liner has a continuous flow, meaning you don't have to keep dipping it back into the tube every 5 seconds :) You can achieve a nice, straight line across the eye, without having those annoying little clumps at the end of the brush. If you're like me and like a little flick at the sides of your eyes, then this eye liner is great for you. The brush is thin, with a continuous flow, so it's easier to get the flicks right without having to spend ages getting it to look right.

This eye liner is perfect, and so easy to apply. I've decided to stick with this eye liner, due to how happy I am with it. It's amazing, and you don't have to faff around with it like you do with other eye liners, it's the best eye liner I've had so far. I would honestly recommend this if you're looking for a good eye liner, it's worth every penny!

Review: Lash Extreme Mascara.

Lash Extreme Mascara.
I recently started to run out of my favourite mascara, but instead of re-purchasing my favourite mascara, I thought that I would try this one out. The reviews I seen on this mascara sounded really good, and there didn't seem to be one bad review on this, so I thought why not, I may as well give it a whirl, considering it wasn't that expensive either. So when I went town I saw this in boots for just £1.99, so I purchased it straight away.

Once I got home, I decided to try it out, and immediately I started to love this mascara, I noticed how long my eye lashes had become, and it almost makes it look like your wearing false eye lashes, depending on how much you apply. This Mascara has got to be the most amazing product I have purchased in 2013 so far, and I will definatly be re-purchasing this mascara!

This Product gives an amazing finish, and I would recommend this mascara to anyone! If you're looking for a mascara, that gives you long, satisfying eye lashes then purchase this!:'3 Also, it lasts you a really long time, meaning less time re-purchasing the same mascara, and more time using it! I purchased this mascara for £1.99 from boots, bearing in mind that this was in the January sales, so i'm not really sure how much it is at full price, so I would go and check it out first, never the less, this is the perfect mascara, and you will definatly not regret purchasing it.
I also just came across another site, which sells the exact same mascara, so for more information on it, go here.

Review: Ice shine serum - Pantene pro V | PinchOfGlitter

Review: Ice shine serum - pantene pro V

I use heat on my hair every day, and it doesn't exactly do my hair any wonders.. it just makes my hair look damaged and hard to manage.. so using hair masks has really helped to strengthen my hair, and my hair is so easy to manage from doing so, but since i've been using hair masks, they have helped my hair yes, but I don't quite get the shine I used to get after washing my hair, so my mum found this^ Ice shine serum helps to strengthen and put a beautiful shine on your hair, and I've never really tried anything like this before, after damaging my hair through straightening it all the time. So, I decided to give this a whirl, and see if what people say about this product is true, and since everyone was raving about it, I thought it was worth a try.

I washed my hair with VO5 gloss and shine, which is possibly the best shampoo i've ever used. :3 and then towel dried my hair as instructed on the bottle, combed my hair through from root to tip, and blow dried my hair thoroughly. My first impression was that it was a spray, but it's a gel. My hair is layered and feathered, but for some reason my roots would not dry properly, so I decided to just let my roots air dry and see the results. Instantly I noticed that my hair was volumized, and I could see the shine. My hair is naturally frizzy after blow drying it, so for me the frizzyness is normal :L I hate having frizzy hair, but to be honest the shine and volume that this has put in my hair is amazing, especially to say that it worked almost instantly after I had finished drying my hair.

I would highly recommend this product if you think your hair is lacking in shine, it works well and oh, I forgot to mention, it smells extrodinary! As soon as you start to spread the gel through your hair, you catch the smell, and I can't really explain what it smells like, but it smells amazing. I hope you decide to try this, because it is honestly worth every single penny. It works wonders, and is possibly the best product I have tried so far in 2013.

Tip: You don't have to use a lot, you just use the smallest amount until you can cover from root to tip, if you have longer hair then it's obvious you will require to use a little bit more than those with short hair. :)

January Sales!

It's that time of the year again when you feel that you need to spruce up your wardrobe. Maybe you've grown out of most of your clothes or your just tired of wearing the same old clothes day in day out, or simply just want to treat yourself.. well me and my best friend decided to randomly go to town numerous times in the holidays, and ended up going on a haul and coming home with heaps of clothing out of the sales!
